The 2020 Mullingar International Film Festival is a one-night celebration of award-winning independent Irish and International short films.
The inaugural Mullingar International Film Festival in February 2020 will raise funds for T.E.A.M. (Temporary Emergency Accommodation Mullingar), who deliver frontline support services for homeless women and children in the Irish Midlands.
The Mullingar International Film Festival will feature a number of award-winning short films by well-regarded Irish and International Filmmakers, some of which will be premiering in Ireland at the event. The Festival will also feature the local premiere of the award-winning film, “I Created You” by Mullingar filmmaker Noel McIntyre, profiling the work of renowned woodcarver Richie Clark. Shot in Mullingar, the film features an original score performed by the RTE National Concert Orchestra and has been screened in Film Festivals in 11 countries across 5 continents, winning 6 awards on the International film Festival circuit.
Through our funding recipient T.E.A.M., festival attendees will be directly helping local families impacted by homelessness, whilst also inspiring local artists and filmmakers with this new cultural platform in Mullingar.
Our guests will be welcomed with a cocktail reception at 7.00 p.m., followed by the film screening programme at 8.00 p.m. Full programme for the Mullingar International Film Festival will follow in the coming weeks. See you on the red carpet!
